In Haste

Please forgive this very hasty and not too edifying update. Someone on Twitter has been plagiarising my words and posting a number of my entries from this journal and elsewhere as her own, including some deeply personal ones. Please see this for more details.

Henceforth, all content here will be visible to friends only. I will also be gradually making my old entries likewise, though this will take some time. Not that that matters a great deal now, as it would be locking the stable door after the horse has bolted somewhat.

Wow, really? That's horrible. I'm sorry someone did this to you. :-(

I'm sorry to hear such a vile invasion of privacy and trust has happened. D: May they be plagued with boils. :@

I thought you had only friend`s only entries. I once did some of this and it was quite a bit of work.

It is horrible to read this.

By the way, I just wanted to leave you a messagge one of these days. I got a little Austen-related commission, and of course I opened again my copy of Sense and Sensibility (with your illustrations) to warm up a bit. You maybe consider them old, but since it is the only book of yours which I own, it is quite dear to me. My own illustration won't have anything to do with yours, but your illustrations were such an inspiration nevertheless during this work. Thanks.

Gurgle! How... annoying and... bizarre. I admire the restraint in your post.

That's horrifying. I'm so sorry. I hope that keeping your accounts and words private helps you with this. Maybe if you reported the abuse, Twitter mangement would take an interest? Good luck. ♥

(By the way, this is lmeden - I simply changed my name recently.)

Sorry to hear about this! This seems most unfortunate - as you say on your dA, blog posts on LJ may not be works of literature but they're still one's own thoughts and expressions and it must be unsettling to have someone use them as their own. :(

Such a shame
I'm *so* saddened to hear about that -- alarming to be sure.

I have a question: I'm a book designer/art director (hired directly by most major NY publishers) who bookmarked this site specifically because of your lovely work. Frankly, I'd love to commission you one day, and have been keeping an eye out for the perfect book.

I certainly don't want to lose track of you and your beautiful work due to this dishonest individual -- and if all posts are marked private, that's my fear. Is there any way I can be included so that I can still see not only your past work, but also future updates?

Please feel free to check my website and to Google me to confirm my identity:
www.abbatedesign.com Google: "Judith Stagnitto Abbate"

I'd be so grateful for any way to stay in touch!

Many thanks,
Judy Abbate
